I would back off a little bit but tell him you are always there for him if he needs you. if his anger and stress is getting to out of control maybe you could try talking to him again or writing a letter . But just let him know your always there

they say you always hurt the ones you love - the reason for this being that you don't have to pretend or put on brave faces with those closest to you, your friend is obviously very frightened of what his future holds, but you know not everyone suffering from epilepsy dies from this.
You could try suggesting he reads up more about his condition up on the internet, or if he isnt willing to do this you could mail him some literature so he can read it in his own time. He may even be in a state of denial and seeing you may make him face reality.
Whatever his reasons just remember the old saying A friend in need is a friend indeed. Hang in there, you don't have to always on his doorstep as I am sure it must be a strain on you worrying about him, just make sure he knows you will always be and and when you need him - then go out with other friends and enjoy yourself
I hope he eventually appreciates what a good caring friend he has in you. Good luck to you both

Mayber, he does not wants you to feel the same way , when he felt while his mum went away. Cos he undertsands the pain and trauma that might jus comes along once he goes.
As a friend u need to find it out, if his prob is curable, speak to him tell him abt the good times u shared make him realise that he needs to enjoy life. Basically, try to sort out his situation by talking to his doc, be with him.

I'm sure he still thinks of you as a good friend. He's just stressed out because of his condition, so he is just taking it out on others. You shouldn't take his aggressive actions to mean that he hates you or anything like that. If you are his friend, then you should stick by him and help him get through this.

if you're a true friend you will stick by him no matter what. i'm sure if you were dealing with what he is dealing with you'd get stressed and angry wtih people too, even your best friends. so, just give him time to adjust and be there for him. because without a good friend, things could get really awful for him and you wouldn't want that for him now would you? what he needs now more than ever is a friend to be there for him.

This guy is going through a terrible time. I wouldn't take what he said real personal. He is angry at the world. He knows that you're a great friend. Of course; if he continues to do this, then you might have to give up on him. At least until he changes.

Suggest some therapy to him. Otherwise, take a step back from the friendship. Regardless of how close you once were or how much of a rough time he is having how, you are not required to make yourself available as a doormat.

he probably needs therapy, but will deny it,like most ppl do. Once he gets help tho, he will need a friend and hopefully he will turn to you.For now, give him space, and just let him know you will be there for him.
