...or do you give without expecting any gift in return? I never, ever, EVER expect the recipient of my gifts to have a gift planned for me, and I feel SUPER-BADLY when someone says...."Oh, ummmm, but.... I didn't get YOU anything...." ...........Your thoughts?

i tell my wife not to get me anything for xmas, and then i get her something..it pisses her off, but i love it. receiving is overrated

I don't expect anything in return, but I feel bad that someone thought about me and I didn't get them a gift .

I love to give gifts, I also love to receive them, I do not expect them however. I feel extremely bad if somone gets me something and I don't get them anything though.

I give at least 90% of the time but rarely receive. It would be nice to receive a little more but giving is fun too.

I tell them that their friendship is more than enough.
