It depends if you rent the property own it.
If you rent, look at your lease and see if the two parking spots are assigned to you specifically in the lease. If so, call the landlord and or the property management company and report the problem.
If you own the property, take a look at the legal description of the property you purchased and see if the parking spots are mentioned (if they were purchased as actual property along with the apartment, they will be mentioned). If so, first put a note to the neighbor that if their friends park there again, you will have their car towed, as it is your legal property. Also copy the note to the property management company and keep a copy for yourself. If it happens again, call for a tow for tresspassing. It is legally your property.
Good luck.

In New York City, neighbors call cops for everything.
That's because people up there live in small, tiny places worth zillions of dollars...and they guard their tiny places like it was gold.
If you want to be a worthy person and neighbor, discuss it politely, and even offer a gift.
Never know, you may need a neighbor one day in an emergency.
Being friendly with neighbors is always a good idea.
I'm blessed with the best neighbors I've ever known.
Never sneaky or complaining, we live in harmony and respect each other's domain.
Bliss.

Unfortunately, the police can't and won't do anything for you. If your apartments assign you a spot to use, try to talk to your neighbor first. If that does not gain results, complain to the management company and explain your predicament. They will be able to warn your neighbor and if need be, they can have it towed out of there at their own expense. I would suggest that course of action as a last resort. You wouldn't want to find your car keyed or tires slashed.

unfortunately ther are a lot of unconsiderate people in the world today. I have had the same problem and for the most part confronting the people will help the situation. If this don't work then advise your land lord of the situation. since this is a private property the cops probably would not be able to do much about it.

Have you tried the obvious ... like going to your neighbors apartment while their friends are parked in your spot and asking them not to park there?

Talk to your neighbors. If that doesn't help talk to your landlord. I'd use the cops as a very last resort. It means a lot of extra paper work for everyone.
