Dose any one here feel they bite there nails way to much or just don't stop or cant.
My friend bits her nails tell they bleed and there are no nails left but dose not stop who else is like this ?
also a silly question but dose any one pick or bite there toe nails so they look like that are no nails left is this normal?

I always bight my nails and i have no clue why i guess its just a bad habbit so i live with it. once my friend bit her nials so much they were bleeding too!But she learned a lesson not 2 bight her nails intill they bleed but she and me still bight our nails! wich is so anoying i guess wut i'm saying is its just another bad habbit that u gotta live with.sorry

Well, if someone bites them to such an extreme (especiallt toenails..yuck..) then they might be having a personal problem (ie. in the book Speak (can't remember the author..) the girl bites her lips until they bleed because she has been raped and cannot tell anyone
I don't know if a person like this has a serious problem, or if it's just a bad habit, but it sound dangerous and should probably be stopped.

I'm a chronic nail biter but they are still there. A tip you can give her is to dip your nails in finger nail polish remover so that when you go to bite your nails it will taste bad and you won't bite them anymore.

i bite my nails, but they're still there. I don't think I'll ever stop. I know a couple people who have that same problem. I don't think it's good that there are no nails left... you should check that... It could be serious if you/your friend doesnt stop.

Biting your nails is a nasty habbit. Have your friend try theses methods to stop.
Put tape on them
paint them with nail polish
find a new habbit like picking your nose (lol)
or wear gloves

I used to bite my nails. Not as bad as you say but I did have a bad habit.
I finally broke it with that special nail polish you put on that it tastes really bad when you put your fingers near your mouth. That worked for me really well.

my sister is on yahoo she bites her nails but they don't hurt or anything, me i cut my nails way too hsort with my moms scissor nail cutters

no i don*t but get nail bite from walmart & put it on your nails ! i heard it*s bitter & really works !
