I'd recommend you do a few things. First try downloading AVG Anti-virus free edition, and also there AVG Anti-Spy-ware free edition. They are the best free anti virus tools I've ever seen, so good in fact that I don't even see a need to pay for a subscription based service. If those programs don't help you, then Google the virus name and look for patch's made specifically for cleaning that exact virus off your PC(make sure to scan any patch you may download with an anti-virus program before running it though). The 2nd recommendation I'd like to make to you is to stop using Internet Explorer unless its absolutely necessary (page's using ActiveX applets and also non-standard code that only IE reads) Instead go to getfirefox.com and download the Mozilla Firefox 2.0 web browser. It is much more secure and has tons of cool features you won't find in IE. Mainly though you'll find that by using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer your PC will become infected MUCH less often with virus/spy-ware.

Avast antivirus. Download it from www.download.com.
And for chrissakes, don't use that P.O. crap IE, switch to Opera or Firefox. Better yet, download a copy of Umbutu (linux) and save yourself all this trouble.
