To clear up what he already has use some cortizone cream.To prevent it in the future make sure he steams his face (a hot washcloth would work) prior to shaving as this softens the hairs. Also be sure to use a sharp razor. Dull razors and too many passes in the same area are the main cause of the razor burn.

Good products (shaving cream,aftershave....)Also by placing a hot towel onm the face afterwards then splashing cold water after a few moments of it being applied will work very well to make sure the pores are cleaned and closed.

make sure he uses a new razor every time, also try using a shaving gel instead of foam, this rpovides mnore protection. there is also a product called king of shaves you can get at brooks, or walgreens etc that works well for after shave. good luck!

Get him thoroughly wash off all shaving cream and after patting his face dry use a good aftershave to cleanse and close the pores.

Honestly he needs to keep his face clean and moisturized. My fiance had the same problem until I took over his face so to speak. But I think the most important thing that I make him do now is exfoliate to remove dirt and old skin. He may have a rebutal but ask him to trust you and his skin will be baby smooth.
