YA UK & YA America are lumped together as an english language Answers, unless you select one of the flags at the bottom, yes there are differances in the tv programming because the cultures are so differant, Winston Churchill said of the states and the brits, two nations devided by a common language, and it's true therfore some uk programs dont translate and visa versa, many american tv comedies don't work that well in the uk because there geared for a punch line every 30 seconds, and the british prefere a more ellaborate plot leading to the gag, the average american viewer has a shorter attention span according to ABC research,

Personally I like British TV. Here in the Pacific Northwest on Public TV we have a few programs. I don't like all of them, but one called "As time Goes By" has become one of my favorites. Sometimes I have to listen closely because of the accent to understand, but I don't mind that. One day I would love to visit England.

Cornation Street rules! Monty Python! The Fab girls! where should I stop? Most of those dumba ss shows in the US come from British TV. That Simon guy would be nothing if it weren't for the Brits.

Normally I love Brits and my favorite comedy is British but I am very very perplexed by all the American bashing...last I heard if an individual gives you a reason not to like them then you dislike the individual...what happened?

I like British TV, and unless someone says where they are from, I can't tell who is from Britain or elsewhere.

I wasn't aware there were alot of Brits here. They probably wonder why there are so many Americans here.

yeah they have a Y!A uk&ireland, thats what im on now.
