If I were you, I'd wait until I had enough money for a professional, I'm not one to risk my health.

You don't have enough to get your ears pierced? Wow. How much can that cost anyway? $20?

Well, if you are going to do it yourself at least take some precautions. First, get a safety pin and boil it in water (to sterilize it). Let it cool on a clean napkin. Get a piece of ice and rub it on your earlobe for about 5 minutes (until it's numb). Look in the mirror and grab your safety pin. It's helpful to get a piece of cork or something to put behind your earlobe so you don't poke your neck. Put the pin up to the spot you want to pierce and push all the way thru into the cork. Leave the safety pin in and remove the cork. Gently clean up any blood and close the safety pin. Within a few days the hole will be ready for an earring.

i would save up your money.....if it is really something that you want then def get them done by a professional....for health reasons and just so that they look right....i used to work at Claire's and i have seen a lot of messed up ears.....and they can be hard to fix....or not fixable at all.....the piercings at Claire's are free....but you have to buy the jewelry and after care products....thats pretty much the case everywhere you see "Free Ear Piercings" nothing is free anymore unfourtunetly

In Oswego NY....go to Inkredibal Tattoo.....its only $20 and they are done by a real pro....and hey all the people there are wicked cool and fun to hang with!

If you don't have enough money to get it done right then you don't have the money to buy the earrings, disinfecting solution, etc. Wait until you have the cash.

"heart" is right. If you buy the studs Claires will pierce for free.

-ok take a needle and boil it to disinfect it
-put alcohol on your ears
-numb your ears with ice
-cut a potatoe in half and put it in the back of your ear and stab the needle through

clean your ears with alcohol 3 times a day for a month

its not a difficult process really, and as long as your careful you dont need a professional. use any needle.. as long as its actual steel and clean. make marks on yer ears with a marker, push the needle through the mark. put in the earring. clean every day for about a month or so. don't change the earring for a month.

It's really cheap to get them done at the hairdressers... and a "pro" body piercer shouldn't be that much either. I wouldn't try it yourself.. you don't have the proper needle, you can't sterilize it properly etc.

Don't do it yourself. Trust me....even when you get a professional to do it there are risks involved. I had a cartilage ring and it got infected and I had to take it out permanently.
