We have McD's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Burger King, etc. Loads of fast food, hamburgers, milkshakes... But now you mention it, I have only rarely seen a non-fastfood American restaurant abroad. No Southern cooking, no Red Lobster, no Olive Garden, and I only know of one Ribhouse Texas that serves American style steak, ribs etc.

/wishes there were Red Lobster places here.

American restaurants have chains in other countries, like McDonalds, Starbucks, KFC, and a lot of other chains. Is that American food is another question.
