I had an appointment...had to wait 20 minutes while she finished up someone before me...then she tried to slip ONE more person in front of me for a polish change. Because this lady had some odd kind of nails, she couldn't do it. I was just like o-Kay...but I really wanted to tell her HELL NO...my appointment was for 20 minutes ago. There are 4 other nail places in my town, but I've gone to this one for about 6 months. What would you do?

The other lady was a walk-in.

Search around for some other nail salons. Try a new one each time you get your nails done until you are 100% satisfied. Don't be afraid to complain about your nails either. Nail techs are there to help YOU, and you deserve what you pay for, nothing less.

Wow!! It isn't just Asian nail technicians it's people who in general who are greedy. That's funny making a nail appointment. I always just walk in. This must be a small town if there's only 4 other nail places. I would continue to go to the nail tech. The thing you have to think about is; does the nail technician do good work and is the equipment sterile. The lady who got her polished changed should only have taken 5 minutes and you don't know the circumstances of why the lady was running late. It could have been that the customer was being a**hole.

Just give the lady another chance and if she does it again then go to another shop.

I'm the LAST one to ever make comments that may sound racist, but I've experienced that same attitute with every Vietnamese nail person I had. WAIT, I take that back, I knew one who was in college and was very down to earth, just like a friend. However, I was in Costa Rica and this Asian lady acted all rude too! She told me my appt would be in 10 min and I had to leave to meet friends in an hour so I said ok. I waited like 35 and finally walked out and she gave me the meanest look ever.

Say "My appointment was 20 minutes ago. Will you give me a discount for having to wait?" By now I hope you are looking for another nail tech and btw, greed knows no nationality.

i think of you asked an rather respected question and there grew to become into easily no longer something incorrect which comprise your question or the way you worded it. i've got constantly puzzled a similar ingredient. I stay in a exceedingly effective area of citadel well worth TX and that they are ALL asians interior the nail salons here. I do think of this is because of the fact this is in all probability no longer that complicated to learn that commerce, and it would not require various English so as to understand the skill. despite the fact that, i think of they are being exceedingly racist via continuously talking of their language in front of english in straightforward terms talking human beings. i myself communicate 2 languages and that i grew to become into constantly taught to no longer communicate a distinctive language than those around me in a public area....curiously impolite. So, with that being reported i'm exceedingly constructive we will all proceed to verify asians working in that particular field considering that they make an rather good residing doing it.

Cutting line isn't fair even if the worker is the one cutting that girl in front of you.

If that had been me, that would have been the moment I'd have left. I'd have told her why too. You let walk-in's in ahead of me after I waited 20 minutes now I'm walking out on you.

Definately go elsewhere, but I would've raised a bit of hell while I was there. They really should take care of valued customers with appointments first. I probably would have walked out as soon as I saw her take someone else ahead of me.

I wouldn't make an appointment with that lady anymore or go somewhere new. That's a unique experience, not all are like that. Good luck!

Go to a new place. The lady didn't think your time was important.

Get a white nail tech. I am a nail tech but don't practice, sorry. You caught my attention b/c my name is Kimberly and you're avatar looks so much like mine! Hillarious. No, but, about the nail experience...don't go to asian nail places anyways. They use an illegal chemical that causes cancer. seriously, it's a black market.
