Wow, I have no secret lover and we only buy for the kids (we have five and love to make a huge christmas but have no money!!!)... but a few things to add... You'd think you'd spend more on the secret lover, as you're still "wooing" them in a way (sad but true... people tend to spend more on lovers in general than spouses, though I'm not saying that's always the case)... but also, unless you and your spouse keep separate bank accounts, how do you buy a really expensive gift for mistress (or whomever) without spouse figuring it out??? Just wondering.
