well, I think it's because there is no real superstar on that team to bring them much attention. They are just a group of guys who are very good and play well as a team. No primadonnas, no egos, no negative publicity.
Look at the stars on that team: chauncey, tayshaun, rip, mcdyess...none of these dudes is a superstar but they are a well-oiled, azz-whupping unit. The lack of attention is unfair but maybe what this team needs...lest u end up like Denver.

There is no superstar. The pistons are a TEAM. Lebron James is with the Caviliers, Kobe is with the Lakers, but the pistons have a team if you take out one person someone else will take their spot in their place for the needed amount of time. Go Pistons.

I think after Bennie Wallace jumped ship to Chicago, it made the Pistons look like they have no confidence in their front office personnel and in the city itself. A few years ago Tim Duncan had a chance to bail on San Antonio but decided to stay because of the environment and the front offices' commitment to winning. Apparently Detroit's city life ain't exactly the greatest, oh well you still Kid Rock!

I don't know what you're talking about everyone in our area says that they are the best team in the East and the target for such rising teams as the Cavs and Magic to beat. they are given much more credit than they deserve, as, in my mind, the players are becoming old and ever since they traded away wallace they have lost so much defensive power down low. they still are good though and are the best in the East so they are given all the credit they deserve

Because one of their famous players were traded to Chicago even though they're a still good team. They're a basic team that doesn't show much highlights .

Don't you see their record now? They aren't that good and when they were good, it was luck and that is why they are doing bad now.
