It was an option back then and you really didn't see a lot of them on the street back in the day but that could be because I live in Ohio and with the snow and all it would take a toll on it, I would say it makes it worth a little more but nothing to really get excited about, I see them all the time now at the car cruises but wheather someone added it aftermarket to their GTO or if the car actually has documentation for it, it's hard to tell. You can purchase a brand new one now from year one and stick it on anything.

I can recommend a place in Washington State that can tell you the name is All American Classics in Vancouver Washington they do classics they can tell you the rarity of your vehicle and maybe the value and availablity of any needed parts.

i own a shop,and its worth more than the regular gto is ,that's for sure,,70 was a good looking car,,there one of the rare ones ,,it should be worth a lot ,the right person would pay a small fortune for it,good luck ,hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.
