Is there a channel showing Gilligan's Island reruns all day? Seriously, I have never spent a Christmas without them. What will I do all day? Thanks for serious answers . . . Merry Christmas.

Going that this year and know how you exactly feel. I had the kids last year so it wasnt bad but I think I am going to visit a nursing home since family is in another state. I am lucky to have fiends here but it is hard going over to see their family and feel that you dont have your family any more so I am going to try and volunteer and try to make some of the old people that are forgotten and see what I can do for them. Take care and good luck.. Your not alone.

Go to the grocery the day before and get in food that you really like - spoil yourself. Remember that groceries and restaurants are closed on Christmas. Rent some movies you like too. Or, surf the channels you have for a good movie lineup. Can't watch movies all day so visit friends and family if that is an option. You can also get some exercise at home or go for a walk. And, why not sign up with an online dating service such as www.match.com. Good luck. Been there and there are much brighter days ahead.

I went through that myself and then I found the benefits. The first year I went out with friends and misbehaved one night ,that was for me,first free week end I had in years ,the second day I repainted the kids room, put up new border, curtains and it just made me feel better knowing I was doing something for them ,also no paint got spilled on the carpet and no decorative hand prints through out the house.and the best part? after Christmas sales!!!!!!spend 50 or a hundred dollars and get hundreds of dollars worth of toy's,go home wrap them ,I really like having the late Christmas now ,because I can do so much more for them .
PS.wrapping paper will be nearly free!!

Wow! Good luck! Christmas is hard without the kids. My ex and I exchanged the kids every other Christmas so we could take them out of state to visit relatives. When they were not with me I spent the day crying.

How about renting scary movies that have nothing to do with Christmas? Or maybe a good war movie with lots of blood and gore? Anything that will keep your mind off of the Holiday.

Go see Dreamgirls. It opens up on the 25th.

But, dont take the whole day SO SERIOUSLY. I dont celebrate Christmas and the 25th of December is just another day for me. Listen, I know its sad being the first--but your kids arent dead or in the hospital, so its all good.

Just give them a call in the afternoon, talk and laugh but DONT make them feel guily saying "I miss you so much", then sniffling..After that, go to the movies, then visit some friends and the day will fly by.

Many, many people don't celebrarte Christmas, and we're just fine :)

1 morning a year he comes over the house so he can watch his daughter open gifts from Santa. You do realize that Santa only comes for a few more years, right? I don't think that you as someone who has been dating her only recently have any right to say what does or doesn't happen in this particular situation. Its not going to happen for too many more years so get over it. Its not like they are rekindling a romance in the living room on Christmas morning. They are letting the kid open gifts. To be worried about this shows how insecure you are and she should run from you as fast as possible as this is just the first example of your jealous nature.

Give your kids a call to let them know your thinking of them. Or drop off a gift if you can. And you could call some good friends up and hang with them on christmas with there families, or call up some family you havent seen in a awhile and spend Christmas with them. Go to a soup kitchen... I hope things work out for you...Merry Christmas.

Well to be completely honest...you're going to think of them no matter what distraction you try. Why aren't you going to have them....usually parent should set aside their differences for such holidays. I would recommend doing something..Perhaps catching up on a good t.v. series that you could rent...but deinately call them atleast. I wish you the best of luck and I am sry to hear you are spending the holiday apart from your children.

If any of the advise helped I'd like to hear, my wife disapeared on Nov.27 with my daughter and around $38,000 dollars of my and my 2 partners companys money. Plus she smiled at me...made love to me and went about life as normal for three months before that while not making our house payments, my childsuppot, home owners or car insurance payments, around another $6000. You know where your kids are that they are safe and happy,I know it doesn't make it much easier, but you do have that.

do anything that will keep you busy and keep your mind half way off of the fact that you will be without them. Find some good movies and watch them, just pick ones that are funny to keep your spirits up. Just whatever you do do not have too much free time that day. If you have a hobby do it that day. You need things to keep you busy,
