A failing HD will make your whole "pc" slower regardless of your DSL connection. If you are using Windows it uses your HD to store pages from your browser and to run task from your programs in the case were your memory is full. You should replace it ASAP or risk losing all of your files.

A failing hard drive will slow EVERYTHING on your computer down.

You DSL speed itself would not be affected... but it would appear to be slower because the CPU wouldn't be able to process and display the information as quickly.

It can make you overall computing experience slower but not really affecting the DSL connection per sey.

internet connection has nothing to do with your hadrdrive, if you have a DSL connection it should be fast,, looka like you need to clear out some of the internet cookies and history

maybe but there are other factors like ram and the browser you are currently using i recomend firefox as a web browser.
