It's plain laziness and the fact that there are really a bazillion of bad spellers out there.
Here in the Philippines, internet cafes are still pretty common. So when I type one letter on Google Search to see what other users look for in the internet, I cringe in my seat and laugh out loud at the spelling inanities of these poor, bad spellers. Under AVRIL LAVIGNE, I get these typed keywords: "aubry labin", "april luvin", "avryl levine", and on and on...
Imagine the amount of time they waste just trying to find what they want through Google. There's divine justice after all. Read Ray Bradbury's "The Butterfly Effect" and be afraid. Be very afraid.

Actually, your spelling's very good! No, Yahoo Answers should not add spell check, as that would ruin all of the fun of trying to read badly spelled questions!

I have yelled at people many times on here for typing too fast and making tons of mistakes that make their question impossible to understand...I think that some people are typing too fast, maybe some because they don't want others to see what they are writing? (By this I mean others in the same room as them maybe.)
But I know that I make mistakes sometimes..However I do wish that some people would just scan what they wrote first to see if it even makes sense.
If they REALLY can't spell, then how are they online in the first place?

Yes, I agree people should check for spelling one way or another. But some don't have the spell check function installed and don't know how to get it.
However, you must remember that spell check will not pick up mistakes such as you have made. You have left out the apostrophe in "can't" and have typed "than" instead of "then".
Merry Christmas.

They don't use spellcheck because they realize that the spelling system of the English language is not a system at all, but rather a mish mash of nonsensical rules that are not even universal; they don't bother learning. If it doesn't detract from the reader's ability to understand the message, then it doesn't matter if it is spelled properly. I am personally more concerned about the utter lack of grammar and punctuation.

They don't know how "Check Spelling" is spelled. So they see gibberish in the upper corner of the screen.

It takes more time to use it. And most of them are too lazy, are only after the two points and/ or are giving cr*p answers anyway.

They are in a hurry for points. Some do not take it seriously just to have fun while bored and nothing to do.
