fall out boy- say they're punk but also say they're emo, wtf? pick one!

panic!at the disco- emo but again people think they're punk because of the way they dress

green day- getting really hard to call them punk but were punk at one time

good charlote- ****** posers with tats and eye-liner

my chemical romance- like em, but they're emo even though they might deny it =(

Fall out boy- oh i know!! im like what the heck what r they?!?!

Panic! at the disco- i think they r punk because of their lyrics and stuff but thats just my opinion.

Green Day- is just becoming really gay but were pretty good at first

Good Charlotte- I HATE THEM!! they r such posers! hate em

My Chemical Romance- is pretty good. and your right they r emo.


Its not just you who think that. I totally agree u. only punk bands are getting popular. so dont worry its no just u.

It does seem that way. All the bands you just named I think are pretty... let be back up... REALLY bad. Are the Killers punk? Either way, they suck too. Velvet Revolver was popular for a while and have a new cd coming out, and I would certainly not in any way call them punk. Bands like Jet and The Strokes aren't punk, but somehow, despite being 50 times better than those other bands aren't quite as famous. It's good to see bands like Modest Mouse, The Shins, and the Decemberists being popular though, because they actually offer something different than the generic emo/punk stuff.

naaah, punk bands aren't popular. pop-punk, however.. that's what a lot of those bands fall under. some people say panic! at the disco is electro or something. i don't know.

probably the most popular punk bands that are actually punk might be the ones that played warped tour, like the casualties, rise against and against me.

and as far as bands like the shins, modest mouse, and the decemberists go, they have more of an indie sound.
