I have a lot of music files on my hard drive. I finally put all my cds on there. However, when i try to make a list to catagorize them I mess up. i tried to copy and paste, but it then does the entire song. How can I make a list of them without typing in every song. Is there a way? Please help because I wanted to sort them to make CD's for Christmas.

Use winamp, it has an option to make an html list of your playlist, from there you can directly print it.

What program were you using that allowed you to paste a file in a document?

The only quicker method than typing it in by hand is by right-clicking and going to properties. You can then highlight the name and use CTRL+C to copy it and then paste it into your word processor.

You can also, if you are interested, download iTunes. It has a print function that will allow you to print your library list.

DOS to the rescue. Open a command line box in the folder with the music and type in:
dir /b > list.txt (or whatever file you want to use)
do a dir /? if you want to check out the options.
