American society needs to change her vision of equality and fairness so that no individual is considered less than any other or treated differently because of their race, gender, age, lifestyle, wealth, or income (just to name a few violations of privacy).

She should embrace equality by enforcing a strict defense of privacy by denying government the power to ask any question or series of questions which makes them a minority, unequal with the rest of society by an excess either of benefits or of taxes, either of exemptions or of regulations.

the constant bickering over political correctness and people worrying if another religious group will be offended by another, for instance, Christmas..Christ birth is celebrated on this day, but yet people that are not christian or even believe, gripe about a Nativity scene, and officials, instead of having common sense and telling them to grow up,fold and take out the Nativity , what about us Christians being offended at having the Nativity taken away on a christian celebration....I mean how utterly stupid can the people in charge of making these decisions be....get a back bone among other things for goodness sakes.

good question. the general close mindedness to other races and cultures. There is still racism in this country, as well as xenophobia. also i know of many americans who have the America is the best, and if its not American its worthless mentality. I think its pathetic because it shuts u off from the world you are in. Embrace difference! we can learn from it.

1) dependency on the government for sustenance-- anyone who is capable of working & supporting themselves & their family, but refuses to do so is a jerk; people who are NOT ABLE to work should have a safety net
2) the "me, me, me" attitude that is so prevalent now-- it allows people to run red lights, trample the basic dignities of others....
3) too much apathy-- no one seems to care that we are too dependent on foreign fuel sources, or that our borders are so open that people can walk right in & commit crimes...
