It depends on the size of them... but unless you're talking about a BIG woofer, then as long as they are more than 12 inches away from the computer tower, you'll be fine.

Normally speakers near your computer should have no effect. In fact the bass, or vibrations and noise are not going to cause any impact.

BUT, if you are talking about large speakers, and your computer is not in a metal case (shield), then the EM field from the speaker could create electrical noise that will affect your computer. Keep in mind, that a CRT monitor creates a lot of EM noise and it doesn't cause computer problems. Also, if the sound is very loud, theoretically, heavy bass may cause additional vibrations in the drive that could cause damage. I think this is highly unlikely though, as the platters are sturdy and any induced vibration should not be enough to cause a deflection that would hit the read head.

If your sub can go on a shelf, I think you are quite safe.

I'd be worried about the hard drive platters... Maybe move the sub off of the shelf...

If it is powerful enough, it may loosen parts inside the computer.!!!!!!!

i have logitech x-530 system and its very close to my computer ..its been long time now nothing happed to mine ..
