i just went through a painful betrayal. now i am feeling good and happy again. can anyone offer any tips on staying happy, being successsful, fun things, finding love. just anything thats positive. the pain of what happened to me has the potential to make me bitter but i just want to be happy with my life and get better and better everyday. i do love myself thats why your tips will only make it better

Shakespeare said it best over 600 years ago; "This above all to thine own self be true" Only YOU can make you happy. find out things that makes you happy. write it down and make it happen. find out what it is you want to do in life and go for it! Some books to help you.

First of all, I'm so sorry to hear about your betrayal. And secondly, I'm glad you are feeling good again. Being happy is a choice. But I would also say that to be truly happy, you have to allow yourself to be vulnerable, to be in relationship with people, whether boyfriend/girlfriend, friend, family, God, etc. The more you feel free with that group of people, the more you allow yourself to receive their love back and to have fun with them. We were meant to experience life within relationship. It gives us a taste of heaven, and leaves us wanting more. Choosing to pursue happiness and not give up is the key.
May I also say to not be afraid of hardships or struggles. These are things that make us stronger and better people if we choose to let them.

Buy yourself something...something uncommon. You probably already wear nice clothes, jewelery, makeup etc....but when is the last time you bought yourself something really cool? An electronic item, a new watch, A few DVD's..... People often forget to treat themselves to luxuries. Your question sounded really positive and upbeat and you sound like a really grounded and lovable soul. Now get out there and buy you something cool.

Just do everything that you know feels right for you. Then you should have no regrets. Make sure to analize you're situations in life, to reduce stress as well.
