There is a movement started to impeach both Bush and Cheney for, among other things, lying to the American people about nuclear arms in Iran, allowing illegal wiretaps, etcetera but if and when this happens, Pelosi would become the first woman president.
If we had to chose someone from the past I would say Washington because maybe we could get it right this time around.

For the person who answered Lincoln, if you check you will see he freed only the slaves in those states attempting to leave the union and those slaves living in northern states, including those owned by mary Todd's family remained slaves and he only freed the ones he did as a war measure since the North was in danger of losing the war at that point.

I wouldn't impeach Bush, first of all. He hasn't done anything impeachable. There is no factual evidence, anyway. He has shown a lot of endurance, and strength during this time in the Iraq war, by standing UP, and not laying down to terrorism! We are America, and will NOT be ruled!
But, in these stressful times, if I could choose another president, it would be Mr. Ronald Reagan. He didn't take any crap off the terrorists either, when the Lybian's were high-jacking American airliner's, and Iran was kidnapping, murdering, and torturing our soldiers. He bombed Kadafi's house, and showed him who was BOSS!
What happened after that? NOTHING. Kadafi stopped his terrorism, stopped hijacking airplanes.
Go Ronnie!

1. I wouldn't impeach him in the first place
2. Learn a little about the United States of America and it's laws.
Even if a president is impeached you don't chose *anyone* to replace him.... the laws of succession are plainly stated in the constitution.

IMPEACH!!! YESS! and i would replace him Abraham Lincoln, one of the finest U.S. presidents of all time, because he was honest, and he cared about the people, he freed the slaves, and he knew what to do and how to do, that is how the North won the Civil War, so yea we need him, not Bush, because Bush has no idea on what to do

As much as I don't like Bush, I don't see the point in impeaching him. I like Roosevelt.

It doesn't matter. Carter, Hoover, Buchanan, Pierce. Even though they were considered a failure as Presidents, they'd do a better job than him.

Yes and he would be replaced with Teddy Roosevelt because Teddy had the interest of the common folk ahead of the rich.

Theodore Roosevelt.

Because he would be appalled at current events and would try to set them right, domestically.

In a heartbeat, and replace with Clinton. The "why", is obvious.
