That's not always why. There can be more...uh...fluid at different times for different reasons, and it can give a woman that "not-so-fresh feeling."
Fluid amount can vary depending on the time of month, her mood or even what she eats. The scent can vary based on the same factors.
Pardon me if that was TMI, but I thought it might be helpful info because there is no way a man would know that unless a woman told him.

ever wonder why people who make assumptions about women do not use spell check when they as a question???
(you know what happens when you assume? you make an a$s out of yourself)
hint:: girls use feminine wipes to clean the feminine parts... they also do not have skid marks... they are, in general, cleaner than men.
