This may be a really stupid question, but is it possible to take an embed code for a movie and somehow use that to "Get" the movie downloaded to your computer? I have been trying FOR DAYS to get Apocalypto movie clips for a music video project, but I can't seem to find any that will download directly to my computer. Does anyone have any advice on this? Is it possible?

Anymore, there has been increasing countermeasures to prevent people from downloading video like that. You may be able to look at the website source and find the specific movie file, and then write a small html file with a link to the movie, and then right-clicking on the link and hitting "download linked file" or something like that. This may not work, though.

If that doesn't work, you could go through each frame of the movie, take a screen capture and assemble it into a gifAnim at the end. Just so you know, I'm kidding. PLEASE don't do that.

Try looking at ways to capture the video stream when you view a streamed video clip.

Depending on how you are watching it and on what media player.. very often the file is saved in a Temp folder and you can move it from there to one of your folders.
Most common Temp storage is: "C:\Documents and Settings\your folder name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
Watch a few clips, then look in that folder and you will see most of them that you can save. (copy)
