My boyfreind said all he wants for Christmas is money, however he said he doesnt want anything from me. (We're short on cash because we're both in college) but he told me that he bought me something. He wears these trendy baggy pants with rips in them, that I hate (they typically arent his style), So I bought him a pair. I talked to a guy freind of mine, and he said that giving him pants is really tacky..
- If I gave him money, he wouldnt accept it..
- He likes video games, but has all of the ones her wants, and the one he wants, he got from his parents.
- Whtat would be an acceptable gift for a 22 year old guy?

That sounds fine. Boxers or cargo shorts or a sports jersey, or a polo shirt are all pretty fine ideas. Maybe a cap.

Not at all. Give him the pant, he needs them. It's all about practicality. Cologne he might not use, video games he will beat and then cast them aside, money is the laziest and tackiest because it shows that you didn't take the time to think about what the person might like or want. In fact, i think that it should only be accepted from grandma who put it in some greeting card. Besides, if he really loves you, he will be happy just to receive anything from you because that's a token of your affection. So yeah, i think the pants are a go.

Pants would be perfectly acceptable for your boyfriend if it's something he wears. Or maybe, since you don't like his style, buy some pants YOU would like to see him in.... but don't puch it too far. Buy something down the middle and compromise.
Clothing is always a good pick for a guy around that age. Esp. if he's in college. He doesn't have his own house, so that counts out a LOT of things. So unless he enjoys wines, or concerts, clothing is your best bet.

Ummmmmmm. Maybe you could get him a gift card to a store he likes to shop at that way he cant give you the money back. The pants also seem fine though. I mean I would like a pair of pants if they were the type that I liked .I dont think that there is anything wrong with buying them.

i'm 0.5 Czech additionally and American. i actually understand your plight. i could lots somewhat receive a heartfelt "thank you" from somebody that a cheesy present. i'm by no skill constructive what I ought to do with them so I oftentimes throw them out first possibility. i think of between the worst presents are some Santa or Reindeer Sweatshirt with glitter. something that some 80 5 12 months previous lady in a nursing residing house could like. i'm basically bowled over while somebody presents me with one. I thank them (no longer too profusely) and regift it to any older woman in a nursing residing house. i do no longer could desire to know her. I basically provide up at any nursing residing house and drop off the Santa sweatshirt all present wrapped. I ask that they provide it to 3 lady that may not have a kin or somebody that may not receive a present. yet another crummy present is a present of a well-being club club or some form of workout type. it quite is approximately as insulting because it gets. i'm curvy and don't sense i'm obese. 5'8" and approximately a hundred and fifty kilos. If i needed a well-being club club, i could purchase it myself. As for the Brazilian travelers, I do think of they took great thing approximately you for weeks. considering that they have been rather wealthy, they could desire to have sent you some form of present certificates or costly present alongside with a word of thank you on your hospitality. You saved them an spectacular volume of money on your generosity. in the event that they arrive to a determination to return, i could be busy and not be so beneficiant as to sleep on a futon for some weeks this time. enable them to pass to a inn. You sound like a large guy. this is the 0.5 Czech!

Any gift you get for him would be acceptable because you bought it for him. (Well maybe not *any* lol) Since you say you are short on money, I'm sure he might say something about it but he'll probably like the fact that you bought something for him despite being short on money.
It all matters what feelings you put into the gift, not what the gift is really =)

First, never ever give a man money as a gift.
Second, heck yes, buy him some new pants. I don't see anything tacky or wrong about that.

i dont think theres anything wrong with getting your boyfriend pants. i just posted a quesiton about me buying my boyfriend a dressy shirt but it rely is the thought that counts and if he rely loves u, he'll not only appreciate the thought that went in it, but most likely, he'll pretend to like it (in case he doesnt lol). and if he's 22, try cooking him a romantic xmas dinner leading to an exciting "slumber party" ;) ;)

That's not tacky. It's better to give him a gift that you know he'll use a lot, so you're getting your money's worth... Especially when you're in college and short of cash.
