I don't want to look out of place while i'm sightseeing. also, i want to know what kind of jacket is sufficient enough to keep me warm. What kind of jackets are popular to wear around London? I want to buy a peacoat but i don't know if many people wear those kinds of jackets in London and wether it is warm enough to wear.

It's quite cold at the moment. Wear something warm. Don't worry about fitting in because London is full of foreign visitors and everyone looks different to everyone else. Have a great time. Be yourself and get familliar with the underground map before you go. That way you'll get around the place really easily and see all the things you want to see.

Wear whatever you want that keeps you warm.

People here wear all sorts of things, from the weird to the very dull and conservative..no-one looks twice and no-one is going to think you look out of place. London is full of tourists all year round, so you shouldn't worry about looking like one...we're used to them!

A lot of people wear fleeces. They keep you nice and warm. You will want a warm coat as it gets very damp and cold here in the winter time especially when its foggy. So come equipped with whatever is comfortable and warm for you.

You can never go wrong with a peacoat. Nylon jackets are too casual for some places.
