There are many ways to save your game using a VisualBoy Advance emulator
First, you can save the old fashioned way.
Note: When you close the emulator/Stop playing the game, IT will automatically create a SAVE file (.sav). IT will record the game's status (IF you saved your game in Ruby, the next time you open it there should be the save file you made)
Second, you can actually save ANYWHERE in the game. You can save in a battle, before making a move, name it!
1.Click File
2. Click Save and save it (Ctrl+S - shortcut)
*You can actually make many saves but it would be better if the save file has the file name of the game itself so it will be easier if you load it.
The save file will usually be saved on the same directory/folder as the directory/folder of the game
You can also
1. Click File
2. Point to Save Game and choose a slot.
To load the save file,
1. Click File
2. Click Load... (Ctrl+L)
3. Open your save file (.SGM)
To load a slot...
1.Click File
2. Click Load Game
3. Choose your slot.
Hope this helps!
