im going in for surgery soon... how long does it take to recover after it before i can leave the hospital?
im going in for stomach surgery... i had surgery when i was in 6th grade but cant remember... 10th grade now.
anyone know please let me know so i can plan when i want to go in according on how long it takes and so i dont miss anything at home and all that

The good thing is your young. You will recover a lot quicker than an adult. You should talk to your pre op doctor. I would have to think you will ready to leave the hospital within a few days, but as I said check with your doctor.

Recovery time depends on a lot of things. The best bet is to talk to the doctor and get a general idea of how long he expects you to be in the hospital and how long he expects you to recover at home before resuming normal activities.

It would depend on the surgery as well as whether you have any complications. I would call the surgery center and speak with a nurse about the "expected recovery time".

it all depends on the type of surgery. if the surgery is being sone by laser the recovery time will be shorter than a cut.

Ask your doctor on the surgery, and also talk to him/her about taking some zinc tablets.
