i download them (movies) on bearshare, i have a cd rewriter and no idea what software i have but i am more than willing to download the right one in order to be able to watch it on my TV! please advise as to which cd and/or software i require.

could anyone offer an idots guide in terms of what exactly i should do having downloaded movies from bearshare (the majorirty being avi) and have no software etc... in order to translate it to a CD/DVD player on my tv. i have a cd rewriter.

You don`t say what format the movies are in. I`m assuming that they are in .mpg or .avi format. Use nero and burn these files into vcd or svcd format. These will play in most dvd players. But not all films will fit on a cd. If it does not fit onto a cd then you have to split the film file so it can fit onto 2 or even 3 cds

Another piece of advice would be to buy a dvd writer. Then you can burn the films onto dvd and play them on a dvd player. Without having to split them and without much loss of quality

you need a DVD burner, witch is a differrent drive than a CD burner. And DVDRs, not CDs to watch them on a DVD player

you needs a specific kind of software on your computer...discs...and a cd burner...you should be able to download the movies then use the software to burn them onto the discs

you would need to burn onto a vcd or dvd....it then depends on the player you have...you have to make sure the player is compatable to view these formats....
