my boyfriend has a somewhat gangster baggy jean style to his clothes and lately, he's been dressing more clean cut and more...... "white"? anyways, wen it came to me xmas shopping, i bought him an expensive dress shirt from Guess and this necklace to go with it. theyre not his typical style so i'm not sure how he'd react and if he'd like it. put urself in his shoes. would u totally hate it all? :(

It sounds like he is experimenting with his look, so if it looks good, he just may give it a try. Even if he hates it, if he has even a modicum of class, he'll show appreciation, and give it a shot.
And for the record, looking "white" is a sure sign that he is concerned with how his appearance reflects on the man within, and the man within has a need to be a success that is taken seriously. Outside of the popular media, certain standards of dress and behavior are expected in professional circles. Sounds like he is putting aside the superficial in favor of a real future. Hang on to him, he's a winner!!
