Im invited to a party which has got white and diamonds theme and the invite says fabulous darling. Could any one say what a man of 28 yrs should wear.

a tux? at least a nice suit with a snazzy contemporary style shirt and tie/bow tie.

This sounds like a black tie optional party. You want to look glamorous- semi-formal to formal. Which means either a tux, dinner jacket, or suit.
With the theme being "white and diamonds" I would go with a white dinner jacket, a French cuff shirt so you can add the "diamonds" with some glitzy cuff links, black dress pants, and patent shoes. Skip the vest or cummerbund, and just go with a black belt for a more updated look. And, of course, tuxedo shirt with the tie style of your choice, it doesn't have to be a traditional bow.

A Black pin striped Gucci suit with a crisp white shirt and white tie , with Diamond cufflinks and a diamond tie pin.
Topped off with a silver gucci watch or silver cartier . A black trilby hat with white around the middle pin striped as well .One diamond stud in youre ear . A crisp clean hair cut sharp looking .
Clean Shining new preferably shoes ( Not Boots ) . Also if you have a mans diamond braclet then put that on the other hand to the watch.
Baby you will look Hot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like an opportunity to get out that gold tux with the diamante tie to me! err sorry...Seriously a black tux with bow tie maybe some snazzy cuff links - lets face it with an invite worded like that suggests the ladies will be the stars of the show but do they like to hang off the arm of a guy in a tux at these things or what! Keep it understated and clean cut they'll be clamouring all over you!

The first thing that comes to my mind is Bond... James Bond. He always looks handsome in an off-white suit, or a white dinner jacket, black pants and tie. Maybe you could find a rhinestone tie pin and cufflinks for the diamonds part. Check out shops that rent formal wear.
