Definitely. Sometimes friends 'who make no sense for me' turn out to be the best though. They make me grow and learn and expand emotionally and intellectually.

I generally choose my friends on a basis of mutual interests in a subject I care about. Some have been chosen just because we work together, but they aren't as close as the ones chosen for interest.

No. I have to click with someone. I talk to a lot of people. But have very few real friends. And only 2 best friends. And one of them is my husband.
