Who thinks that it would be a good idea to have another category under pets, along with dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles, for our furry little friends? I DO.
You think that Yahoo might consider this? If so, how could i go about informing them?
This group would include : mice, rats, hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, degus, etc, etc.

i think it is a good idea. There are definitely a lot of questions about these pets, and they end up just under general pets. We should inform them of this, but i'm not sure how. But i will try to figure it out also.

RABBITS ARE NOT RODENTS!!!!!!
Rabbits have been mistakenly classified in the rodentia or rodent category for years, but they are actually not related to rodents.
Rabbit Taxonomy:
Order: Lagomorpha. This includes rabbits, hares, and pikas.
Rodents have four incisor teeth, Lagomorphas have 6 incisor teeth.
Family: Ochotonidae (pikas), Leporidae (rabbits and hares)
Genera of Leporidae: Lepus (hares), Oryctolagus (domestic rabbits), Sylvilagus (cottontail rabbits).
I too would like to see the catagories however more broke down to even see horse/livestock, etc.

I think a small animal category would be good. Since guinea pigs and rabbits are both not rodents, this would cover it all.

I would prefer to see a horse and livestock category. Lots of horse questions.
