I am currently looking at making a Christmas CD next year and I was wondering how do you get to record songs like Little Drummer Boy if they are copyright. Singers around the world do those on their xmas CDs and I want to on mine. Help Please!

You need to talk to performing rights/phonographic performance (in the UK at least). Start with the body that looks after copyright issues in your resident nation and take in from there..
There will be an organisation which can grant you a licence to use copyrighted material (but I think you will also need the express permision of the copyright owner as well).
Of course this only applies if you plan to sell, distibute or broadcast your recording.
Hope this helps

Check with your producer and whoever else is working with you, IF you can't contact the original composer. If you are able to contact the composer, ask them first, as it is their copyright on the song. But otherwise, talk with your producer and he/she might be able to work something out. Cheers!

You're going to need an entertainment lawyer for this. If you don't do things the legal way, and get the proper permissions, you can be sued.
