A blush brush is smaller, with shorter blunt ended bristles. The shorter bristles allow for more control when applying the makeup, so you can contour the makeup to your cheekbones and face shape. The blunt shape (usually flat or angled) keeps the makeup from dusting to other parts of your face, where you don't want it.

A powder brush has longer and softer bristles. It's a big brush with a gently rounded shape to the bristles to allow for a light dusting of powder all over your face.

the powder brush is bigger then a blush brush because the powder brush needs to go all over your face. the blush brush is just used for the cheeks
