Im using a local area connection or high speed whatever its called for internet but i opened up my network connections i found another connection that said local area connection2 and down at the bottom it says microsoft TV/Video connection i would like to know how it got here and if im suppose to take it off or leave it on or what and both say firewalled was well

Have you recently connected a video camera, web cam, digital camera or other device to your pc?

Disable it & only allow it to connect when you want it to. Or remove the device entirely from add/remove programs.

It is probably a connection to use to connect your computer to your television. Are you running xp media center? I am not that familiar with what your are referring to, so I am not totally certain. But that's my guess. Try http://www.microsoft.com see if you can get some answers there

you can delete the icon if you wish, but it involves editing the registry.

start - > run-> regedit

Edit->find... type in 'local area connection 2'

delete the key, or you can rename it, or rename other keys
