The population is growing faster than 100 years ago. Population growth (when not hindered by disease, disaster etc.) will grow exponentially (accelerating).

You will note that the world's population growth overall has SLOWED. Even though we have better medicine and technology which can extend life and prevent infant mortality you must remember that the same medicine and especially the technology has hugely changed our cultures all over the world. People are making choices about the size of their families today that they couldn't make in 1906. Many people are waiting to have children or not having children at all. Women in the workplace and the ability to travel etc. have changed how we approach family and family size... Also there has been a global push toward ZPG (Zero Population Growth) for a long time due to issues of overpopulation in certain areas of the world which have led to hunger and disease...

100 years ago more people died of more diseases and births. but since we have the medicine and the technology to prevent most of that then we can save more lives and more people will live. long ago people had more children like 5-7 ish. now the average is 2 now

not it is more immigration. before, it was all about imperializm and the whole take over and go all around all over teh world.
