My goldfish Goldie has been sleeping for awhile do you think he is alright

Um...wait a few hours and see if he is ok. If he is still "sleeping" like that in 2 days, he might be dead. My fish, Spencer, sleeps right side up. My other fish, MArio died when he was upside down. if his/her mouth is up on the top of the tank. Then I am sorry to say, it is dead.

Uh, no. Fish 'sleep' by just staying put. You can tell if you woke them because they tend to jump or startle when you turn the light on, If your fish is upside down, it's either dead or dying. Sorry.

actually fish don't sleep. they may take rests everyonce in a while but they never actually sleep. if your goldfish is belly up on top of the water it is most likely dead or about to die. im sorry. :(

M'am I'm sorry to say this but when fish die they go belly up because of their swim bladders. When they die they are unable to control it any more so it brings them to the top with their stomaches up. I'm very sorry for your loss

ok for one thing to the person towards the top its called AIR bladders not swim bladders.
but anyway. sorry hun but your little fishy friend might have gone to a better place :(

No it does not seem right. usually they float upside down when they are sick or ready to expire. Sorry to have to tell you this....

I THINK HE IS DYING, IF I WERE YOU I WOULD CHANGE THE WATER BUT BE CAREFUL NO TO GIVE IT A SHOCK WHEN YOU DO THIS. IM SO SORRY ABOUT YOUR FISH! :( LIFE HAPPENS :(
