My question to you is does it feel like christmas time?

Here it doesn't, It feels like late September.

I live in New York, USA where it hasn't snowed once this whole fall/winter season. Today, [12/23/06] was 60 degrees with 2 inches of rain. I want to see flurries at least with temperatures in the high 30's or low 40's.

So again, does it feel like christmas time where you are?

Today is the 23rd and it was in the 50's in MO. There is a front moving in from CO that is giving my friends in TX rain, but only a few clouds. We had a storm 2 weeks ago that brought 6 inches of snow and a lot of ice and sleet. Other than that it is dry and rather warm for December.
The weather isn't what makes Christmas for me. There in my friend, lies the problem. It does not feel like Christmas. My mom and dad are gone. 2 of 3 of my children are grown and gone. I put a tree up which my cats immediately destroyed. It looks like I rared back and threw a handful of decorations on the tree, that is around the bare spot where the yellow one chooses to lay and nap when I'm not around. I really wish I were in the Christmas spirit. Being old and almost alone is no fun. I remember as a child in Chicago the downtown shop windows were always so brightly decorated and it seemed magical. That feeling is long gone. Great question. Merry Christmas. Nana

I am currently in located in Florida and away from my family. I never thought that I would miss the stress and frustration that came with the tradition of trying to figure out whose house we were eating at, getting stuck watching of all the kids, and being - basically- stranded at a relations house until all hours of the night (or the next day) when I was tired and craving my own bed. But mixed in with that stress and frustration was a warmth that could be only given by family and good times.

I live in NJ, and no it does not feel like Christmas or December. It felt like a nice spring/fall day out today. Although I did like it nice outside like that, it really helps the holiday season when it feels like it :) have a merry christmas!
