Stop someone from making the biggest mistake of their lives, even if they told you to stay out of it?

No I wouldn't try because I did once already I tried to stop one of my friends from getting married to the wrong women he got married had a child with her then after a year she left him for another man now he mopes around and gets mad at everyone who tried to tell him she was wrong so. so NO i would not try people have to learn on there own and make there own mistakes

No, since the "mistake" would only be a mistake in my opinion.
It doesn't mean THEY think it's a mistake.
People have to be allowed to make their own mistakes!

Of course, if it was something illegal or harmful, like robbing a bank or killing themselves, I'd try to stop them in any way I could!

Wow, I have done that and lived to regret it too. I speak my piece and be done w/it. People are going to do what they want to do. The effort and heartache you put out is not worth the grief you get in return. I mind my own business pretty much.

If I could, without putting either them or me in physical danger, I surely would. IF I could be sure it was in their best interests. Sometimes what I see as a mistake, isn't all that bad.

We usually have to learn from our own mistakes. I don't know the circumstances,but if the situation isn't life threatening, you probably should pay heed to this persons request.

I wouldn't because it's their life and the more I try to stop him/her, the more he's/she's going to resist. So I might just try to tell him/her my side and end with that fact that I care what will happen
