What kind of person sets themselves on fire over a word, anyway. Besides, most people who celebrate the commercial form of Christmas that is practiced in the U.S. are nonbelievers anyway. And if there was no christmas, there would be no winter break to enjoy in the first place, so it's really hypocritical to be protesting something as trivial as a word. If people get offended by a relatively benign word, that's their problem for being so thin-skinned and weak-minded. Do liberals like the idiot who burned himself think that real victims of discrimination were concerned about using the word Christmas or having God in the pledge. Political correctness actually cheapens what those people suffered through by making a
mockery of it.

I don`t know where you guys get this war on Christmas crap, it is like you are coming up with topics to keep our mind off the troops in Iraq. Personally I say happy holidays in public, I was taught to respect all holidays but I don`t get all bent out of shape if someone wishes me a Marry Christmas. Why did we not hear about this crap when Clinton was in office?

I'm liberal. Christmas does not offend me. I get offended by people who believe OTHER people find Christmas offensive. I don't see why people get so wound up over it, do people get wound up about Ramadan? People can do what they want - Christmas long since stopped being religious for everyone anyway. If you want to celebrate Christmas then go ahead, if you don't then don't.

I also find people who get offended by people wishing them a Merry Christmas really idiotic - it's the sentiment that counts, they're not saying "Ha, you're Jewish, so I'm going to rub in your face the fact that we're having this massive celebration of Christianity and assume that you want to be a part of it!" - they're just expressing goodwill. If someone said to me happy new year when it's the Chinese new year I wouldn't care at all.

I have been asking myself this same question since I could speak, lol. It doesn't make sense, and it doesn't work either. Folks who work hard for their future, suddenly come to a point where they realize it was for naught, when they find out someone else gets the job they worked to the bone for, because the liberals felt sorry for them, having a druggie mother, and not knowing who their father was.
We end up with workers who only know 1/2 of what they're doing, and the truly skilled end up in the mail-room, as it were. It's coming to where America no longer makes the best products, like we used to, example: The American automobile industry.
About Christmas, all we who believe in Christmas, need to stop laying on our couch's, sitting in our lazy-boy recliner's watching news, and DO something about it! We have the power to, so let's on with it! We can eat turkey, ham, green bean cassarole, and cranberry sauce later!

They love the word "diversity" but they don't live it.
Political correctness is stupid but works for what their
goals are, so they seem to like it and use it. If they don't
believe in Christmas, then there shouldn't be any Christmas
according to them. These have been traditions in America
for many many years and if they're unhappy, I think they
should move to another country where they don't have to
have presents, beautiful Christmas lights, good will among
men, family get-togethers and all the good things Christmas
brings.

the unique experience of politically maximum remarkable became as a term used to handle mixed bodies of human beings so as to no longer offend. In 1793, Justice James Wilson in Chisholm v. Georgia used the term to distinguish between the words us of a and individuals of america (he believed the latter to be politically maximum remarkable). In 1936, H.V. Morton's in the stairs of Saint Paul observed the term Galatians as a politically maximum remarkable thank you to handle anybody difficulty to Roman rule. Why do ignorant neoclowns constantly revise historic previous?

Because the whole point of being pc is to not offend anyone. Liberals live in their feelings and thus believe that people should not have their feelings hurt.

As a far-left Liberal I can assure you we know how stupid PC is. Pretty much everyone I associate with is Liberal, and not a single one of us uses "PC" language.

The issue of "political correctness" is a PR campaign created by right-wingers to make Liberals look ridiculous,. The entire issue of "the war on Christmas" was created by Fox news. It's all fake designed to further divide the country.

how many people have done this?

one...

so you're being kind of stupid by assuming that all liberals think that way... because I don't and everyone keeps calling me one...

this guy seems to clearly have been mentally disturbed...

and polticial correctness covers a WIDE variety of topics, many of which most people believe in, which you only cover about .000001 percent of in your little rant... anything taken to extremes is bad...

Yeah, you're right. Political correctness messes things up. Most of the time, it just makes things worse.

Because for some reason they are GUILTY because they have achieved the American Dream...and now they want to prance around "protecting" everyone in the paternalistic patronizing way.

I worked my *** off for what I have and I don't apologize for it!
