I had a boss do that to me a few weeks ago. I am a Wicca. I do practice magic and I do believe in the God and Godess and all that goes with it. I believe in souls, and signs and such. My boss - tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about and that there was no such thing - I calmly explained to him that it is my belief and my religion and I did not appreciate his remarks. I usually just tell people that we wicca believe that we all have a right to believe what we choose to and no one has the right to make fun of anothers beliefs. My bf does not believe in anything - so I tell him that is his right. So I do my spells and castings and prayers when he is not home.

Be the bigger person. Don't make fun of their beliefs. That will only start an argument.
Just stay cool and try not to let them get to you.
It may be tough, but you can be strong.

Don't stoop to their level. Chances are, they are insecure about their beliefs, so their outlet is to criticize yours. Just act as if it doesn't bother you. If they persist, just say that you are very comfortable and firm in your beliefs, and that you are sorry they can't respect that. Then politely but firmly change the subject. If they still continue, walk away. But don't stoop to their level, just be the better person and leave quietly.

Walk away. The hardest thing in the world. But it's hard to engage in a battle of wits over something like that. It just seems to make you look desperate if you have to defend yourself.

Stay strong and stedfast, look at how Jesus was treated and a lot of people who stand up for their beliefs...A lot of people who make fun, are trying to see how dedicated you are...

honey thats sad. someone making fun of you? dont make fun of them though. they want the best of you. dont let them get it. dont waste ur breath on them, use ur breath on praising the lord. he knows whats happening. he can see you. everything happens for a reason, anger is not the reason. next time they do that say, god bless.

I'm in this situattion also. All you can do is ask them to stop, and walk away. Soon enough they'll get the idea and stop. I have to go through this also. Good luck!

You should totally ignore them. They probably aren't big in religion anyway. They just take things for granted. So just hang in there. Be smart and avoid them!!

They are stupid. everyone is entitled to their own believes. Ignore them. Deep down you know they are being stupid. You believe what you wanna and good luck, just dont try to force what you think on anyone else, they wont thank you for it!
