Depends on how bad the virus was really. What are the effects on your machine? Are you sure its not malware? you can download adaware from download.com for free. Otherwise what I do if I have some type of virus, is first go into msconfig and lookup under the startup tab for suspicios applications and i look up where they are located at and disable the process at startup. Reboot and delete the folder with the file and any registry keys it has left, which can also be viewed in msconfig, in startup. This will only work for a certain amount of shitty viruses. Alot of the bad ones you will need some kind of A/V to get rid of them..

So you wanna get rid of a virus, right? Don't worry I'm a computer hacker for everything: e-mail passwords, XP passwords, halting websites (but I'll get caught by the people who run it.), etc. Thus I can get rid of virus's easly, lol I get viruses all the time on my computer because I always download hacking programs that may have viruses.

- First of all, you need to install a free anti-virus software. You can even just install the free trial version; you just need a program or software that will tell you the location of the virus.

- Once you downloaded an anti-virus program, tell the program to scan for viruses. Once it's done, it'll you all of the viruses you have on your computer and tell the location. write the location some where on a piece of paper or you can memorize it lol, but I suggest you write it down.

- Now, restart your computer and when it's on the black screen or, the PH Service, press F8 to boot the advance menu for Windows XP. Select Safe Mode. Now log in to any account of Safe Mode (any account on Safe Mode is an Administrators account). Now, select start and then select "Run;" type in cmd or if you have an older version of Windows type in command. This will open a command shell for you.

- O.K. this is the "computer geek" part. type in "cd\" (w/out the quotes of course) Now get your location data from your piece of paper and type in the location by typing "cd 'location slot one'" and then pressing enter.

Example:
Say your location is "C:\Windows\system32\xxzemplif.exe"

* And "xxemplif.exe" is the virus

You type in: (after you cleared the location line by typing in "cd\" (w/out the quotes) and pressing enter)
cd Windows - press enter
cd system32 - press enter

Then type in "dir" (w/out the quotes). This will give the list of all the components stored in system32. Now take the location example: C:\Windows\system32\xxzemplif.exe

type del xxzemplif.exe - press enter

This command will delete "xxzemplif.exe," the virus that you want to KILL!! Now you're good the virus is gone!! Yeah!! BUT!! If it says "access denied" then you have a strong virus. Don't worry we'll get rid of this one too, or at least nullify its affect on your computer.

All right lets do this! On Safe Mode (on any account) simply go to my computer. Now, according to your location just simply go to it............ do you get it? Just like... example - say your location is
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ntuser.dat ("ntuser.dat" is the virus) From My Computer, just click on (C:\) Then click on the folder Documents and Settings and then click on the folder All Users, and then just right click on (from the example) ntuser.dat; select cut. Now, go back to My Computer (home) and click on one of your CD drives and right click on the open space and select paste like you were going to write the file on the CD, but the virus is "strong" remember it won't let you write the file on a blank CD. However, if you just leave the file there waiting to be written on the CD and then just unplug your computer, you'll be able to destoy the components of the virus, because you have just made an "unsafe" shutdown and you know when you make an unsafe shutdown some data can be lost. That's why sometimes the computer will ask "Are you sure you want to shutdown? Some data maybe lost." Yes! We're freakin' sure! You wanna loose the virus data! So go ahead and unplug the stupid thing!

- Now since you destroyed the components of the virus, plug in your computer plug and turn your computer back on. (To normal mode). Now, you're finally free!!! When you check your CD drive on your computer the icon of the virus will still be there but the components has been lost and thus cannot mess with your computer anymore. And if you don't want it there then just select it and cut it and paste it any where you like, you won't be able to get rid of it but it has no affect anymore!!!

If you have any trouble with the instructions or want I gave you does not work just e-mail at msnaccountsession@hotmail.com
and we'll go into details.

Good Luck! C Ya!!

Scan the PC with a standard antivirus and ananti spyware. If requires you insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
If antivirus and spyware remover software does not work, you can try to restore the computer to an older working configuration. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html

Install and allow it to do a boot scan after restart (it will ask if it can)

works like a charm, and free for home users.
