I feel in love with everything 97x. I was so into the whole alternative rock thing. I got into Nirvana, muse, my chemical romance, smahing pumpkins, and the offspring. It was like I needed to hear it to get through the day, like I was addicted to it. I needed something different. Then I was lost in the 70's and 80's. That brought in Led Zeppelin, Def leppard, and David Bowie.
I think I just need to hear some stuff and see if I love it or hate it. But where do I find this stuff? I just need a song with some awesome lyrics. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Personally I buy it off of iTunes. If you love Led Zeppelin, Def leppard, and David Bowie, you'll love AC/DC, Aerosmith, Queen,The Who,Twisted Sister!
I personally would listen to Queens top 3 songs for some awesome lyrics!!!!!!!!

Oh sweetheart, what a subjective question! What I call extremely good music may be total crap to somebody else. It just depends on what you like, what mood you are in, what subject matter you want to hear about, etc.

I'm a lyrics freak myself, and although I'm primarily into hard rock/metal, my tastes really cover the map. In no particular order, try Days of the New, Queensryche, Tool, The Police, Pantera, Rush, Pink Floyd, Eminem, Megadeth, Bad Religion, and Alice in Chains to start.

The best place to check them out is here:

You can preview songs for free and download them for $.10 or $.15 each.

Have fun!

This has tons of both alternative signed artists and unsigned undiscovered, but amazing artists. You'll love it.
