There really is no written rule, or law, that says women can't propose. I wouldn't see a problem with it. Preferably, I would like the guy to propose to me-as many women would. But if it is okay with that women and the fiancee, then there shouldn't be a problem =)

I proposed to my partner. But we had talked about marriage many times before i actually did it. I just saw the perfect moment one day to propose while my partner and I were standing over a beach lookout. It was just so romantic that i took him in my arms and asked him on the spot. He was over the moon :o)
We compromised tho....we had a party one night at our house. He proposed in front of everyone that night, this time with a ring and noone had any idea that we had already been engaged for 6 months seeing we had not told anyone! It was just as special. It doesnt really matter i think. As long as you know that your partner recipricates your feelings.

I did with my husband. It was on Feb 29th (Sadie Hawkins Day) On the late news they said that was the only "official" day that a women can propose so I called him and told him that then asked him. He said yes so it must have been OK. I went out the next day and got him a ring out of a gum ball machine at the local grocery store. GOOD LUCK and GO FOR IT

Well, if the guy is too much of a wimp to do it himself, but he truly loves you, it is ok. If the guy has not proposed, he might not be ready for it

If you really love the person. Go for it! Who cares who gets down on one knee. You love that person and you want to spend the rest of your life with them. Ask them! Just please wait until you've been in the romance at least 6 months. In other words... Don't ask on the first date. lol
Merry Christmas

Yes, I think it's ok, maybe even preferable. I wonder if it might even make the marriage last longer

I like it. I don't see anything wrong with it. I'd have done it, but my boyfriend wants to do it and requested that I let him have that opportunity. So, I'm respecting that.

This is so sudden! I mean, I am flattered, but we barely know each other! I'll have to give it some thought and get back to you!
