Because the gamestop and EbGames ones are too expensive. I've found some on Amazon and they are cheaper, yet they hold the same ammount of memory. But if i get those and they won't work on the Wii, it'll be a big waste of money.

Any suggestions?

Don't worry about it. SD (Secure Digital) is a standard flash technology. That means any SD card will work on Wii, regardless of the brand. So go ahead and get the most efficient price you can online, because the brand-name SD cards are truly no different. Buy it with confidence.

Just make sure the card you buy is under 2 GB because the Wii can't read capacity that high.

Hope this helps!
