Please don't be scared. I know how you feel. The bible is full of rules: don't steal, don't eat too much, don't wear cotton-poly blend suits, don't masturbate, don't have sex before marriage, don't have sex while menstruating, don't judge other people...it's all abomination, a sin, and we're going to hell for it. Well, we WERE at least. Then God realized that all his people were going to go to hell because they were all corrupt. That's why he sent Jesus to die on the cross, so that all we have to do is believe that he is our lord and savior. I thought we had to apoligize for every little sin...truely repent, and promise never to do it again to go to heaven. But the way that I see it now, is that God knew no one was perfect...and Jesus was our gift to us. Just accept it, and live a spiritual lifestyle (gay or not), and you will see those pearly gates. Tell your friend to read the rest of the bible. You could do that also! :) Don't take one passage out of context. I don't think God likes that. Would you like it if someone took you out of context? :P

Are you serious? There is no proof that God had anything to do with what was written in the Bible. Do you honestly think that a book can tell you whether you will go to hell? The people that wrote the Bible were the ones who thought homosexuality is wrong, not God. We don't know what God thinks about anything, because God doesn't communicate with us in a literal manner. Has God ever talked to you? My guess would be no, and if he hasn't talked to you then what makes you think he spoke to the writers of the Bible? I believe that the people that wrote the Bible just wrote what they believed God felt and thought. Please do not be scared that you are going to hell. You were born gay, that's all there is to it. You can't change who you are, so embrace it. I believe that God made me gay, because I can't think of any other possible explanation as to why I am gay. I certainly wouldn't choose it. My advice to you is to be yourself and just enjoy you life. By the way, there is no proof of Hell either, so stop being so paranoid.

There is no hell, hon. It was a myth derived as an attempt to control the masses. The thing is back in the old, olden days people were doing some crazy, weird ****. Some people were offended by this and created rules and scare tactics to set people 'straight' (pun intended). And what better way to try and get people to behave than to make up stories about a place of everlasting torment?
Homosexuality has always existed, so might as well embrace it. Christianity gave us homos a bad name and they can go fvck themselves for all I care. It's THEIR hell, THEY burn in it.

Don't believe the words of gay-haters. The bible was written by humans. They said it was inspired by God, but how do we really know who's right? We won't know until judgment day, so don't worry about it. I'd rather not believe in hell than believe that I'm probably going to it.

first of all, i hate the church because of that, and ask them this. Why did "God" creat gays then? doesn't it also say that god loves all his creations and that you're equal to everyone else in his eyes. You shouldn't be scared for being who you are. The church is trying to supress the fact of new ideas and not to mention that the bible has been manipulated in so many different languages and then into english. don't take the bible too seriously and be happy for who you are

You should join a Calvinist church (Presbyterian, Dutch Reformed, etc.). Those churches believe in pre-destination, which posits that only certain people are chosen by God for Salvation and there is nothing that anyone can do about it. That way you can stop worrying and go about your business. If you are saved, you'll be saved no matter what!

You can be forgiven for anything if you sincerely ask for forgiveness.
But have you ever noticed that it is only the people that are completely straight that think that being gay is a choice?

relax the bible says a lot of sh*t. It's a work of fiction...if it weren't don't you think god would've stopped in by now to correct it?..besides even if it were true...at least if you went to hell..you wouldn't be stuck with all those religious freaks...you'd be partying with us.
