Medgar Evers is quoted often when it comes to "Hate". He said, "It is a waste of energy to hate anyone because half the people you hate don't know it and the other half don't care." i was molested at age 7. I hated that man for years. Then I heard this quote and thought to myself , "This man does not know I hate him, and if I told him he wouldn't even care." That was 33 years ago. I don't "hate" him now, I just have pity for him. he recently lost his father, who was murdered, and I went to the funeral. I shook his hand and said,"I'm sorry for your loss." He held my hand very tightly as if he didn't want to let go. I could see something in his eyes more than the pain of losing his dad. He looked me square in the eyes and said, "Thank you." He said it in a way that I felt like the thank you was also an "I am so sorry for what happened in the past." I gave him a reassuring look and said, "It's OK." Hate can control your life. When you learn to let it go it can be incredibly liberating.

I hate you for asking this question, now you got me thinking, and I hate that. It is not a strong word it is an evil word, the wisdom of man can only be forgivness, love, and understanding. Life is to short to be $#^$&.

No. I don't hate anybody nor dislike anybody. I may dislike or not approve of something a person says or does, but that is very different from disliking or hating the person himself.

I can honestly say that I do not hate anyone...I can hate someones actions but it just takes too much time and energy to hate.

not only is hate a strong word it is very easy to use...i often as myself before i say i hate something if i wished it just did not exist whether it be jessica, okra,or bees...then i ask myself is that because i am indifferent to whether it exists or not or i really really hate it and usually its just indifference or dislike

I dislike people because of their actions but I don't hate anyone. However I think indifference is worse than hate. If you are indifferent you don't care.
