I love lacoste. If it's your favourite brand and you're willing to pay the money for the little crocodile (which is so darn cute) then go for it.
When I come with a lacoste bag in hand my parents just turn the other way. I'm paying for it with my money, and I enjoy it!
Buy it because you like it. Not because it's a trend, or it's the hot item, which it is and always will be as far as I'm concerned.
Lacoste is awesome!

Lacoste makes the BEST polo shirts ever. I just wish I could buy one in every color. The only problem for me is, is that I have never seen my size in Bloomingdales so I get mine from the outlet store or online. You are lucky that you have 15 Lacoste shirts. I only have 3 shirts, a pair of shoes and a backpack made by Lacoste...actually thats not that bad, but anyway, if you can afford it, go for it!

Lacoste makes it's clothing in China. You get polyester for more than double the price of fine wool at Banana Republic.

Banana Republic on the other hand, doesn't have the little alligator but does use world renowned European designers. You get fine Italian made wool sweater for 99$ versus the same thing in polyester made by underpaid chinese migrant workers with the aligator for a mere 395 $ at Lacoste. I would rather get the softer, better made European item from Banana Republic and actually get my money's worth.

It used to be that designer clothing meant great fabrics and great designs and you paid for the name knowing this. Now you get the same tired polo shirts and basic cuts in been there done that fabric made in cheap sweat shops in China.

LaCoste needs to lose some customers. They are far too full of themselves and far too overpriced. I am an avid shopper for designer clothing but I will not pay for overpriced, overhyped crap. Hope this helps.

Personally, I'm more of a Ralph Lauren person, but I like Lacoste, too, and if you want to pay that much for the clothing, your parents shouldn't stop you.
