Hard drive Interface:Serial ATA300 interchangable with ATA150?

my hard drive is a 250GH SATA-300 can I replace it with a SATA-150? thanks?

both are interchangable, but both will give you the limitation of the slowest part.

I believe you can, but the data transfer will only run at the SATA150 speed.
